                 <l>With eyes as black as slow,</l>
                 <l>She doted on romances</l>
                 <l>But she never had a beau!</l>

                 <l>Her years were few, but ten and six,</l>
                 <l>She thought she’s many a woe,</l>
                 <l>For though the boys all liked her,</l>
                 <l>She <choice><sic>did’nt</sic><corr>didn’t</corr></choice> have a beau.</l>

                 <l>Behold! a year doth pass aways,</l>
                 <l>New York where she did go,</l>
                 <l>And on the stage cavorted,</l>
                 <l>Nor wanted <choice><sic>een</sic><corr>ev’n</corr></choice> a beau.</l>

                 <l>And now a famous, flattered star,</l>
                 <l>Topnotcher of the show,</l>

                 <l>Sweetly pets his sister,</l>

                 <l>Perry who is older---</l>
